COLUMBUS, Ohio, Feb. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Alliance
Data's card services business has named Greg Betchkal as chief risk officer. Betchkal
will lead the company's risk organization and serve on its
executive committee, reporting to Melisa
Miller, president of Alliance Data's card services
business.
As chief risk officer, Betchkal will be responsible for
oversight of the company's risk management practices, including
processes and procedures for defining, managing, measuring, and
reporting on risks associated with the business' banking operations
and regulatory compliance.

significant contributions in ensuring that, as our business
expands, we continue to have the proper processes, rigor, and
controls in place to diligently and effectively manage our risk

Betchkal began his career as a securities regulator and later
served in several compliance-based leadership positions at ING's
Advisor Network and Citigroup. Most recently, Betchkal worked for
KeyBank, where he served in various roles including chief
compliance officer, chief operational risk officer, and chief
enterprise risk officer. His previous experience in public,
private, national, and international positions related to risk
management has provided him with the knowledge to strategically
lead the company's strengthening of its risk management processes,
goals, and procedures while ensuring Alliance Data's card services
business meets regulatory requirements applicable to large
financial institutions.
Betchkal holds a bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and a law degree from The
Ohio State University Moritz College of
Law.
