COLUMBUS, Ga., Jan. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Aflac, the leader in voluntary insurance sales at the worksite in the United States and Official Insurance Partner of the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards®, today announced that it is partnering with Daybreaker, the early morning movement known for inspiring residents of 22 cities around the world to wake up and dance, creating a unique music experience while kicking off music's biggest weekend. The event will include yoga, a dance party and performances by GRAMMY®-nominated artists, including current Best Rock Performance nominee, Kaleo – all designed to highlight how music can have a positive impact on one's health.

The music and wellness experience takes place Friday, Jan. 26, from 6-9 a.m. ET, at the Highline Ballroom in New York City. To purchase tickets, visit daybreaker.com/longlivemusic.

"Our support of Daybreaker is an extension of Aflac's passion for healthy living. We look forward to honoring the best of the best in the music industry with the Recording Academy and the GRAMMY Awards, and the Daybreaker event is a natural fit with all of this week's activities as music and exercise improve health, enhance relationships and can make you feel more alive. We're particularly excited to have the Aflac Duck attend the event," Aflac Senior Vice President, Chief Brand and Communications Officer Catherine Hernandez-Blades said. "In fact, the Aflac Duck will also be making a special appearance at the Billboard Power 100 event, quacking about My Special Aflac Duck, a social robot created by Sproutel and Aflac to serve as a caring companion for children with cancer. From there, he will be attending the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards® in an 'interesting capacity.'  We hope everyone will follow the Aflac Duck on social media and tune into the broadcast."

Daybreaker's early morning movement, responsible for waking up more than 350,000 people and getting them out of bed and on the dance floor, is offering a unique morning with a powerful message: Never underestimate the power of experiences, particularly music experiences, and their effect on physical, emotional and social health. Inspired by the 60th anniversary of Music's Biggest Night®, the "Long Live Music" event will take attendees on an immersive dance journey through each musical decade.

"At this distinctive Daybreaker event, we want to bring wellness and music together in a way it's never been expressed before, and this partnership feels like the perfect mix of magic to create it," said Radha Agrawal, co-founder and CEO of Daybreaker. "As students of music and dance culture, it's a deep honor for Daybreaker to be creating an experience with Aflac to celebrate Music's Biggest Night® of acknowledgement for the artists who create the soundtrack for our lives."

Tickets are available for the full experience, including one hour of yoga and the two-hour dance party or for the dance party only. As always, attendees will depart just in time to clock in for work.

The Daybreaker experience is one of several music events in which Aflac will participate leading up to the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards®, which will air Sunday, Jan. 28, on CBS at 8 p.m. ET live from Madison Square Garden in New York City. Earlier in the week, Aflac will sponsor Billboard's annual Power 100 List of the Top 100 Power Players in Music, ranging from industry executives to music artists, which will be unveiled Thursday, Jan. 25.

Back by popular demand, the Aflac Duck will live post his experience at the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards® on social media. For behind-the-scenes updates, celebrity spotting and real-time reactions to the show, follow the Aflac Duck (@AflacDuck) on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

About Daybreaker
Daybreaker began over a late-night falafel in Brooklyn, New York, in 2013. Social entrepreneurs and close friends, Radha Agrawal and Matt Brimer mused over an idea about dancing before the day broke with people they loved. The idea centered around creating a community that valued camaraderie, self-expression, wellness, mindfulness and mischief. The first Daybreaker ever held was Dec. 10, 2013, in the basement of a New York City coffee shop. "It was the first snowfall of the year and we didn't know who would actually show up," said Radha Agrawal, "but 180 friends came, and it was the beginning of this magical movement." Four years later, the movement is 350,000 followers strong, active in 22 cities, and continues to expand.
