What is Level 2?

Level 2 is a far more comprehensive overview of all trades occurring at a given stock exchange as it not only provides bids and offers, and the available quantity, but also other top bids and offers in the exchange's electronic order book as well as streaming live data of current share values. This of course represents great value for traders and other individuals, which typically results in a rather high subscription cost for that information.
