Yen Declines Further Against Major Rivals

(RTTNews) - During New York mid-day trading on Tuesday, the Japanese yen extended its previous session's downtrend against major currencies. As of now, the yen is trading near a fresh multi-week low of 97.83 against the euro, a new 1-month low of 79.04 versus the Canadian dollar, fresh multi-day lows of 78.74 against the US dollar and 123.29 versus the British pound, which may be compared to Monday's closing values of 97.04, 78.25, 78.25 and 122.10, respectively.

Against its Swiss counterpart, the Japanese currency also edged down further in today's mid-day session and presently trading near 81.43 from yesterday's New York session close of 80.79. On the downside, 81.63 is seen as the next target level for the yen.
