The Stock Exchange
A stock exchange is a place which allows investors to buy and sell stocks and shares.
Some stock exchanges will have a trading floor, where traders will communicate their orders by shouting and using with hand signals. Other stock exchanges will be completely electronic, and orders will be placed over a computer network.
As an investor, you can buy and sell shares on the stock exchange via traders or brokers.
