LSE - The London Stock Exchange
The LSE (short for London Stock Exchange) is a stock exchange based in London, United Kingdom, which is made up of two stock markets: The Main Market, and the Alternative Investment Market (or AIM for short).
The Main Market is solely for established high-performance companies and the listing requirements are very strict. AIM listed stocks are generally small-cap companies and although rigorous, the listing requirements are not as strict.
Trading on the LSE is done electronically. Depending on the stock, trades can take place automatically or through market makers.
