The Dow Jones is a leading index of US stock market prices and it is made up of 30 of the largest stocks.

Despite its name, the Dow Jones Industrial Average is made up for stocks over many different industries, and not just industrial companies.

The stocks included in the Dow Jones Industrial Average represent about 20% of the market value of all U.S. stocks.
