ZOOtech the rebirth....
siwel100 - Fri, 22 Dec 06 :
The second half is going to benefit from a rather large bonus.
"ZOO has retained the benefit of all iDVD titles developed prior to disposal."...............'Who Wants to be a Millionaire?', 'Telly Addicts', 'Test the Nation','Time Tunnel', 'Smash Hits', 'Stardancer','Question of Sport'............. all developed in the first half with income dropping into Zoo in the second half.
With royalty % at a higher level than 3rd party deals, its reasonable to pencil a minimum £1m income from this revenue stream alone in the second half (it could be substantially higher)
When you take this cashflow and then add in the 3rd party iDVD income + that from the existing toolset and the new TAS signups, its not difficult to see the potential for a very positive cashflow when working on a restructured £2.2m Zoo cost base.
Moving to profit for the core will be pretty easy for the full year. If the finals show a gross full year profit when the first half included costs from now disposed of divisions and the second half includes some write offs from ZIV is a question mark. But write offs are simply paper exercises, its the positive cashflow that will count.
