It simply means that in order to capitalise on the ZOOtech's range of products, it is necessary to form a number of partnerships (and at various levels) to maximise each product's potential. This could mean anything from geographic reach, to technology reach, to sales & sevices reach. I think attention is being drawn to this varying level of possible partnership options at any / all of these levels as opposed to one big headline-grabbing partnership. ZOO now have their funding, so I would suggest that has ruled out the big equity-holding partnership that was being touted in May/June this year in lieu of a number of key product/technology/geographical options which will enable ZOO to broaden their reach for their new suite of software. I would also suggest that the mention of the phrase 'strategic options' gives a pointer to the level of partnering they are looking at. It looks like ZOO wants to keep the core Group at a manageable level and let partnership agreements spread the cost risks whilst continuing to allow the company to expand the development of new tools.
