for example the oil conference in February is running the following;
2:30 PM - 5:30 PM · Workshop C: Lowering Your Project Costs Through The Use Of A New Alternative To Natural Gas
One of the major challenges facing the oil sands industry is the ever-increasing cost of natural gas to power its operations. The Holy Grail for this has been to find a cheaper but just as effective alternative. MSARTM, taken from the concepts previously used in emulsified fuels, such as Orimulsion®, has been enhanced and developed to meet the new energy challenges including finding an alternative industrial fuel to replace natural gas. Research and tests have shown that MSARTM, a liquid fuel consisting of very fine oil droplets and dispersed in a water carrier, can be burned as an efficient energy source in many industrial applications. Manufactured from heavy hydrocarbons such as bitumen or refinery residue, MSARTM can serve as a practical and cost effective alternative fuel to natural gas, fuel oil, coal and bitumen.
Attend this workshop and learn how to:
Use MSARTM to replace natural gas in the recently implemented, and currently being planned, oil sands projects using SAGD (Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage) technology
Unlock enormous reserves of heavy oil at a lower investment than before with natural gas
Manufacture MSARTM on site
Utilize bitumen and heavy residue feedstock in the range of - 10o to 14o API
Handle disposal for refinery residue products effectively
Lower combustion temperatures resulting in lower NOx emissions
Eliminate expensive steam atomization by using warm low pressure air for combustion
