Yup, too few people realise that GB was really given a very good economy from the Tories (Tories too busy slamming each other's Dicks in the door and choking on Oranges in sheds at the bottom of the Garden, to highten sexual gratification, whilst talking about Family Values and shagging Edwina Curry).

UK plc also benefitted tremendously from withdrawing from the ERM.

With a lid on inflation from cheap imports, it was a Golden scenario that lasted many years and nothing at all in the main to do with GB's policies at all. GB has riden this particular wave for all it's worth and claimed credit. Probably his finest hour was independence for the Bank of England. His worst hours were most of the rest, with constant dablings with Red Tape and a few real clangers, some of which may only fully be appreciated with hindsight, starting anytime soon imho.
I really dislike his manipulation of data and his devious type of dishonesty, avoidence tactics and slight of hand in hiding things in small print whilst making grand statements at Budget time.
We should start a Sack GB campaign for all the damage he will end up causing the economy and our pensions, as his pension change is a massive loss to pension funds and is largely still an unrealised scandal. I re-iterate my point that I still don't agree that taxpayers money should subsidise higher rate tax payers to purchase property into a Sipp, driving up property prices, whilst first time buyers already struggle to even get on the ladder. I don't hear you Sipptrader??

He set a target to actually reduce public workers and has not yet even met his own target within his own deadlines.

I really hope he is still Chancellor when the sh*t hits the fan and he gets booted out with the RUBBISH. Say what you will about Blair, this GB character who always talks like he is trying to hide the fact he is chewing gum, when he isn't anyway, would make a very dishonest and under-hand PM from the way he conducts himslf as Chancellor.

Back on topic......You seem clued up ..... Optomistic about ZBA pulling something worthwhile out of the hat prior to April 2006? Guess we have to be.
