Mobile network Orange is making programming from National Geographic Channel (NGC) directly available to its customers, including streamed documentaries and specially edited mobisodes of the most popular series.
The new service will also feature video clips such as Amazing Moments and Demolition Squad, which will be downloadable.
This is the latest mobile TV deal struck by the channel, and adds to the wildlife and exploration specialist's non-linear services – a key-part of its new media strategy.
NGC was recently included in another mobile carriage agreement with UK satellite TV company BSkyB, which will begin distributing its mobile TV service to both Orange and the 3 mobile network, opening up an agreement that was previously exclusive only to Vodafone customers.
