WSP Dropping like a stone - Amec?
Bigwig - Mon, 30 Dec 02 :
so disregarding an ex-employee who in my view should know better than to berate his ex employers, (but I do know how tempting it is to do this) - anyhow I now reckon this company is at or near the bottom. Having tracked it for more years than I care to mention (first trade was in 95 - with plenty of buys and sells since then, selling out finally at around £4.60,in 2000. I have waited long enough and am now a buyer again. The thing is that this is no means a perfect company, but neither does it look as though it is about to go bust. Either they must be doing something really very bad to achieve this level of share price or the market has just over-reacted, going too far in one direction - in this case 'down'!
Markets do tend to do this of course, they are driven by human emotion and therefore tend to swing up too far and then swing down into depths which are unbelievable.
Well this company only has to do moderately well from here on for the price to gradually start building up again. I guess there are quite a few investors on the sidelines at the moment, just wathching and waiting. As soon as we see a decent rally, there will be a crowd gathering back in again.
My aim is to start buying now and if things start to move up, to buy some more.
Eventually I will start to sell in parts too. Remember you don't have to put all your money into all the eggs on the same day!
Good luck WSH holders and lets hope WSP Group see us good in 2003. Hey it can only fall another 40 odd pennies - but the upside is unlimited! :)
