That FTSE trade is sooooo Bullish! Unlimited downside loss :(
If you're really bullish then why not the FTSE Futures?
Protected with cheap Puts (Bear Spreads or Bought Puts with Sold Calls).

Where you been man!
So December was a good month for you, great news.
Agreed that IV is a pain at the moment, VIX toying with 15 !!!! I would never have thought that possible.
But looking to the past, the VIX has been in the loww teens for some time previously.
Not a one for this Bull market, so I'm doing less Selling these days. Trying to trade far out Options, making sure time and IV is on my side.
Doing some Deep ITM trades too, both long and short.
Mostly I gain with an increase in IV, so that's what I'm hoping for in the new year.

Long term trading idea (half baked thoughts really)
STO Dec05 Lloyds (or other stock) maximum OTM and ITM Calls & Puts.

Roll when new month comes out.
So you only trade once or twice a year.

eg:
STO Dec05 Lloyds 650 Call
STO Dec05 Lloyds 650 Put
STO Dec05 Lloyds 300 Call
STO Dec05 Lloyds 300 Put

Painfull to hold if IV rises, but what about the next Roll Forward!

Thoughts on a postage stamp please!
