Happy New Year everybody.
Anybody got a crystal ball to see what the new year will bring?
I had a brilliant year last year with shares, share options and otherwise.
It exceeded all my expectations and targets which I vaguely made at the start of the year.
I am quite certain that this year will not be quite so succesful for me . Especially not if the market rallies , as right now . At these elevated price levels I have difficulty convincing myself that the good times will last and have difficulty placing bullish trades. More tempted to sell some shares . The longer this rally goes on and the steeper the rises the greater the risk of a sharp reversal and I would hate to be caught up in it. For the time being I probably will restrict my trading to protect existing positions and to writing strangles in stock where I hold share positions.
I also need to place some more small spreadbets to keep up the flow of spendable cash.
I hope that everybody here had a good xmas break .
