WRITING TRADED OPTIONS for income

i've been looking at the IB (interactive brokers) website, some interesting things there.

has anyone made use of their software API to automate parts of trading/bookeeping/data analysis?

An application programming interface that allows you to write custom applications that link to TWS using Java, C++, Active X, or DDE (Excel).

seems to be quite alot of freelance applications on offer and a sample test application is available.
wouldn't it be nice to create an application that integrated IB's ordering/API with SPAN and hoardley's API's.
cost seems to be $10/month !!!

hmmm, give me a strategy and some rules!

also on IB's site is a papertrading account, nice touch.
