Interesting how a forecast of 6p share price can cause such discussion! Particularly fascinating that Alex, who is clearly no mug, should spend so much of his own time in the middle of the night correcting what he sees as a false impression of the company when he apparently does not own WTV shares and does not admit to having any intention of buying them.
There is little point in applying p/e ratios until we know whether the company has a product that can be sold. My forecast of a 6p share price was based partly upon the knowledge that, although there is a massive quantity of shares, most of these are very tightly held.
If we have news of a large contract, or possibly more than one, this will have a very large effect on the share price in a very short time span, possibly a few days. This has happened many times with tech and other shares. The peak price reached will probably bear no relation to the fundamental value of the company or to p/e ratios, more a reflection of market sentiment at the time and the fact that a large number of shares are held by directors who have strings attached to their share ownership.
Alex, you may well be right about earnings, but you could be wrong about the share price next year for the reasons stated above.
