sfloyd, me too this year - 2 imacs, an ipod and a shuffle. When I visited the Mac store on Regent St. they said they were shifting more than 3000 a day (ipods) from the one store!
Source, I agree about US semis though a lot of analysts have been calling a "trough" that the inventory issue is over and there are many others saying tech is the place to be for 07.
Why you say WLF would suffer "disproportionately" I don't know - imo it already has. Taking the middle of their revised guidance for this year puts them on a PE of, I think, around 18/19 and going forward 07 is still in the low teens - £2 would put them om a single digit PE for 07! It would need another disaster at results for this to happen imo.
January is going to be very interesting for WLF, first we have Mac expo and then, of course, wlf's results. I'm looking forward to both.
