As to the striker, we have a goalscoring machine in Crouchy! Benny likes to play 4-2-3-1 so many of the goals need to come from the 3 attacking midfielders. Gerrard and Garcia get their share but Kewell is on his last warning.

I don't think you can be in the top three and be 'shite'. Lower than expectations yes but shite no. I think it's fair to say though, that United need to keep Rooney fit more than Liverpool do with Gerrard.

Boring? I don't think so. We've played some lovely football recently. I don't understand that critism to be honest. What Liverpool have to prove is that we can beat the big names pitching toe to toe instead of the old banks of four and nick one.

I'm quietly optimistic though.
