Shop assistant shot dead in robbery

A shop assistant has been shot dead in a suspected robbery.
The victim, a man aged around 30, was shot in the chest at the Spanish Wines off-licence in Old Trafford, Manchester.
Murder squad detectives are still investigating the incident and have yet to establish a motive, but robbery has not been ruled out.
Two men were seen leaving the shop on Skerton Road at around the time of the murder.
A post mortem examination carried out on Friday revealed the man died from a single shot wound to the chest
Police have set up a major incident team to investigate and have appealed for witnesses, or anyone with any information, to come forward.
Greater Manchester Police gave no further details about the incident.
