I wasn't involved in 1987 but certainly the DOW's move since 24/11/03 is similar to the last phase of the 98/99 FTSE Bull and presumably also mirrors the DOW movement at that time..........which peaked slightly later on 14/01/2000. This time around, FTSE is still in relatively orderly fashion having only registered an 11 day miniral of 03.46% thus far with a reasonable pull back pattern up until now.
Surely this alleged contra-supercycle Bull won't end until well into next year but just maybe FTSE will now start to dig in with its own period of unchecked progress and peak c14/01/2004 with the DOW mirroring the 98/99 FTSE performance and climaxing earlier on c30/12/2003.
Seems strange that the end of a Phase or Market Run (whichever it turns out to be) is characterised by these unabated surges which then collapse like a house of cards for no apparent reason.
