W H Smith - 7% yield + modest capital appreciation = 25% within a year

When the footsie was way down in March 03, i wish i had had the balls to say "they are all wrong, it will recover." My dad worked for WH Smith in the 50's and even though i agree with the comments that they are very dated and slow to reform, i believe that " buy a good name on the bad news" will see this in profit very soon. Going against the market is where i am making all my money at present and i think this is another "good oportunity" to do the same.
