Plus those dreadful clothes she wore. I mean, who is going to fantasize over a 25 stone bird wearing a tent? She looks a lot older than 23 too. The record companies rejected her every time. She was on the talent circuit for years and did nothing. Sorry but them's the facts.
She needed to win Pop Idol and she knew it too. I give it a lot of credit for guts and taking the jibes on the chin and bouncing back. Not a long career I reckon but she sure won't be skint either. Bit better than earning a tenner in the Glasgow pubs.

If you had backed the fav to get knocked out every week, would have made a packet. 33/1 Andy, 16/1 Sam to name just two. Michelle was odds-on to be knocked out on 3 occassions and was 66/1 to win at one time. You can bet on anything nowadays!
