Skype Beta v0.13.0.5 has been released. This latest update of the breakthrough VOIP (voice over IP) application is said to offer the following features and fixes:
• A small semi-transparent window, QuickAnswer, to quickly answer incoming calls
• Linked URL's in IM
• Emoticons in IM
• Styled, colored text in IM
• Main menu re-organized, context-sensitive validation further improved
• All the dialog windows close at logout
• BlueTooth support
You can get your very copy of this "free" computer-to-computer VOIP application here.
Editor's note: At my day job here in lovely Taiwan, people that make overseas calls are required to try Skype first. Of course, Skype doesn't always work, but it's made quite an impression.
Has Skype changed the way you make long-distance and overseas calls?
