Shortage of stock.
Big Demand.
Before the recent shareplacing the Institutions had 46% of 82 million shares, which is 37.7 million shares. That left 44.3 million shares floating. I assume that the recently issued shares 16.8 million will not be coming to market in the near future. I also assume that those private investors (Russians?) and those Institutions who were not satisfied in their applications for new shares have been busy in recent days purchasing in the market. I conclude, therefore, that there is less than 40 million, perhaps less than 35 million shares that are in circulation for trading. With high demand and a liquid stock, any setbacks will be short-lived (a few hours).
(Thanks for the correction from my brethern on the total number of shares in issues; I wrongly added 98 to 17, rather than including the 17 in the 98).
My point remains the same, however, that after subtracting what one should reasonably assume are tightly held shares awaiting the commercial development of assets, one is left with a relatively small amount of shares in the market. The consequences are lucrative.
