Agree to a point, However DM was unsubstantiated journalistic crap by Foster which had the desired effect.
VOG has moved on significantly since DM article (Fundraising + 100% share of Gas field + Directors Buying in bigtime).
Russians and Gazprom are playing this very clever, they want higher gas prices throughout Europe but dont directly want to upset the European customers, so are forcing their political and econimic hand with Ukraine, bringing gas prices to the world stage at G8, an agreement will be thrashed out of sorts after sabre rattling by both sides (Ukraine threatining now to increase baltic fleet mooring charges etc!)
Aside, yes some may take profits who cant stand a little uncertainty in the markets but feel there will be plenty of punters sitting on the sidelines ready to take their place considering oil production newsflow is expected shortly.
