azalea, Good afternoon old chap.
I tend to favour soulsauce's view , the spat over gas is short-termist as VOG would not be producing from W Med for several months at earliest and a new pipleine is being built through to Germany in any case.
THe more central 'worry' that Gazprom may be 'difficult' with VOG has not emerged: so far, Gazprom has ASSISTED VOG in many ways! eg with staff and other assistance over at West Medz.
I also posted recently, that even IF there ware some future problem between the two companies, it is not part of the medium term newflow: which is about getting to a resource.
In short, the share price of VOG will strongly rise on drilling news / resource news, there will be no valid debate on the nature of VOG/gazprom tie-ups, for quite some time after.
Everything has its price, and Gazprom are rather aware now, that European stock markets including London, have a lot of clout over any company which blatantly blocks fair trading. Gazprom also needs its London listing.
