Its a known fact that Shell wanted to buy out Sibirs 50% (joint 50-50 of Shell/Sibir - Salym fields). Probably would have paid about £1.5b but Sibir said - not for sale!
Don't be surprised at the potential outstanding assets we could have in West Med. Oil/Gas majors are awash with cash and this is very attractive. Developments there will focus the attention of the majors who are always seeking sizeable acquistions. £500m - £1b would be pocket money.
Don't underestimate it.
Nice close a half penny short of the days all time high.
Target of £2.50 entirely feasible over the next few months based on West Med. Kemerkol will provide the impetus that turns VOG solely from an explorer into a producer very shortly.
