the July meet
It is not me that doesn't know how the market works.

PS : If I was taking a chunk of the placing @ 78p, i'd be happy to sell it all at a quid now, knowing I would be able to guarantee buying it back @ 78p.
but wtfdik eh?"
let us say, for arguments sake you take 10% of the placing. (I have kept the share deliberatley low) You go to a broker and say I want to sell £1.2m worth of stock. What makes you think the broker will offer it to offload it at £1. You would be lucky to get 50p! And your shares you bought for 1.2m would now be worth something like £700,000. You are some shrewd cookie.
You do have an alternative and that is to drip it into the market. I reckon it is likely to take you around 6 months to a year to get rid of that sort of total and remmeber you have to declare your selling all the time.
Now supposing all the holders of the placed shares decide to do the same what are your placed shares worth then. As a holder of the placed shares you bought on the basis of making money in the future not in a months time.
Refer to the header above,
"Shares on issue: 81,925,314 (including 10,132,969 @ 55p placed on 01/03/2005)
Major shareholders are:
L-R Global Partners L.P..........8.42%
Celtic Resources Holdings Plc....7.82%
Altima Partners LLP..............7.21%
Libra Fund LP....................6.26%
St James’s Square Nominees.......5.81%
L-R Global Fund Ltd..............5.49%
Hydrocarbons Technologies Ltd....4.71%
---------------------------------------
TOTAL...........................45.72% (held by institutions)"
Now has there been an annoucement that those holders have reduced their holding and they got their shares at 55p!!!!
Oh too hell with it,
