Correct Machoolahan- I was just doing the calc myself. Dilution gets bigger the higher the current share price. To compare with your results, if the shares are worth £1, then dilution is about 3.5%. There is no reason for this share to tank because of the new shares! It is unlikely that large investors will go to the effort of acquiring shares just to sell out immediately (they may even be locked in for some time). The only reason investors may feel uneasy is the final price that Foo got for his equity issue... If 78p per share is an acceptable risk to large investors, then this surely forms the basis for support until new news reaches us?
