Ashley,
Please don't take offence, but I think you should go with the flow a bit more. By trying to rationally analyse the markets you'll give yourself a headache, or worse. There really doesn't have to be a valid reason for share price movements, and in some cases valuations. For example, I view MM's as black box systems - you know what goes in (share prices), and you know what comes out (share prices), but what happens in between is anybody's guess. Occassionally, with hindsight, we can attribute certain price movements to various influences, but in the majority of cases there's no valid, rational or even guessable reason for price movements (except, maybe, market sentiment). There are many instances, every day, where buys outnumber sells, considerably, but the share price moves downwards. If you spend too long trying to find the reason why, you may lose the opportunity to buy/sell.
Regards and Happy New Year
Steve
