Vietnam - more to come for 2007?
Don Muang - Sat, 30 Dec 06 :
Given that Vietnam was the second best performing stock market of 2006 (surpassed only by Peru), then will it continue for 2007? With the present positive sentiment towards Vietnam and the number of State Owned Enterprises still to be listed, then certainly the potential is there. A lot will also depend on macroeconomic events in the region and globally. Here's the link to the VN Index:
After a 12-year wait, then on 11th January 2007 Vietnam obtained the WTO membership card. After a ceremony of admitting Vietnam into the WTO took place in Geneva, then Vietnam became the 150th World Trade Organization member.
