Victoria Oil & Gas: Fundamentals & Valuation Summary
machoolahan - Sat, 30 Dec 06 :
What a psychotic thread - are you guys into any other O+G?
Doubt it reading some of this guff - if so you would probably find that all the small companies are in this boat - high potential assets (that is why they are drilling), high risk (that is why these assets weren't drilled in 1897).
Siwel - they have raised money through bonds that the holders can hedge in the market - so they sell short into market - do they know anything? No. They are being mechanical. It's not a big conspiracy theory that only you understand, so turn off the turntable purleez. You posted some sure-sounding guff on PANR a few months back and it was proved to be utter rubbish - but stated with utter conviction. I will dig out the post if you wish. Being short on VOG is a fine and respectable position to be in - but why be a total arse in the way you post. Not cricket, is it, old boy. Bet either way - but be nice. You will still win if you are right and lose if you are wrong. Discuss.
I was in VOG when it was 40p back in the ole, ole days of late '05. Rode it to 120p and then thought, nahhh. Crazy times, crazy guys.
Don't mean to be snidey - there's some great posters here. But everyone else should just ease off the ramp/deramp pedal now. There's no hot money here anymore. Plenty of shares and bugger all trades. Look at the volume today - a sparrows fart.
Thanks for the AGM posters BTW - all useful stuff for the first time in weeks. To the rest - you are typing into the ether if you post guesses from here on, and somehow want to convince the world that your guess has merit. Only the CHP thread is worse than this for newsless speculation.
Now.... take a position and sit. Calmly. Even jadedly. That's the game.
I am long (as of last week and again today) partly because I think it frankly unlikely that there isn't a huge wodge of gas down there, and partly because VOG is so hated by the market there must be some merit in it, they get it sooo wrong on sooooo many shares sooo often. Nearly every day I believe.
But WTF do I know, it's still a gamble. Post if you have a new observation.
