pbracken....If you actually believe that supply and demand does not dictate sp, I suggest you give up trading before you lose the lot.
Taking your VOD example, the price rose 30% because they disposed of a major division. The hedge funds closed and people bought. The demand was positive and the price rose.
If its an mm controlled price, they either trundle prices if buys/sells are near enough matched or they sharply move prices if there is an imbalance to either the positive or negative, they sit in the middle and must protect their position and make a market......Do you actually think prices are just made up?
If a pre market price is marked up by 50% its because there is no stock available. mm's protect themselves with a sharp mark up to encourage selling to fill early buys.If demand is there then the price continues to move up sharply, if not then the early buys are filled and the price falls back rapidly as more sellers try to take advantage of the artificially high price.
If you have been trading VOG thinking that the fall is all about mm's just making it up as they go along, then you deserve the losses.......its the daftest post I have seen on this thread and that says a lot.
