mar newton - I'm at a loss as to what you mean. The D of DCF is reflected in my (albeit crude) summary of stock mkt pricing.
A more graphic way of underlying my point is the effect of price-changing news. Imagine we go to bed with VOG at 60p. Tomorrow, we wake up to an RNS which tells us VOG has struck oil in well 105. Not a single share has changed hands, no supply/demand mechanism is in operation - but the pre mkt shows VOG at 120p.
Why? Well, like I say - because the mkt, being ferociously efficient, is pricing in the news and adjusting its expectations of future income streams. That's why. Your BUYS and SELLS have zip, zero, nothing to do with it.
