Universe today announces that as 9.30
a.m. on Dec. 24, 2003 valid acceptances
have been received in respect of
11,390,070 Rights Issue Shares,
representing approximately 71.25%. of
the Rights Issue Shares offered to
Shareholders at 21.5p per share.
The balance of 4,595,163 Rights Issue
Shares have been placed with certain
institutions and with the underwriters
at a price of 21.5p per share.
