First hello everyone and a Happy New year. This is my first posting here. I have been lurking in the background for a while.
Now regarding your posting Gareth. ULT is an intellectual property company, so what value would you assign to software or patents ? What value should you asign to the value of another company/brand name etc that has been purchased ?
Writing down goodwill is IMO a conservative accounting approach. Unfortunately the so-called NAV of ULT immediately disappeared into the negative. But the fact is, it is pointless to value ULT on the basis of its NAV. Their NAV is practically meaningless. Only true assets like buildings or plants have a real NAV.
The future prospect of this company depends on its sales. They have a fantastic product - now they have to bring it successfully to the market.
