ULTRASIS - ONWARDS AND UPWARDS
Ranger4x4s1 - Fri, 22 Dec 06 :
North east leading the way, not suprising really when some of the Government mental health strategy advisors reside at York university.
The Department of Health's commitment to roll out practice based commissioning (PBC) by the end of the year has been all but met, with one month to spare.
Figures for November, published today, show that more than nine out of ten (95 per cent) primary care trusts (PCTs) now have plans in place for universal coverage.
Just eight out of 152 PCTs are still to achieve universal coverage, meaning that the NHS is on trajectory for meeting the department's aspiration for all PCTs to achieve universal coverage by December 2006.
North East, South Central, Yorkshire and The Humber, London, and South East Coast SHAs have now completed universal coverage. We expect the other five SHAs to achieve universal coverage by the end of December.
Nine out of ten (91 per cent) patients in England belong to a practice receiving an incentive payment for taking part in PBC. 7,525 practices in England received an incentive in November.
