I thought the Western economies are struggling because the Africans/Asians are prepared to work harder for much longer hours and a lot less pay?
The so called "civilised West" is fast becoming the next Roman Empire: Fat, decadent, lazy...and largely debt funded! We all know what happened to the Roman Empire when drinking, frivolity and orgies replaced hard work, determination, expansionism and discipline, don't we? The new West has updated Roman pleasures with drugs, Playstations, multi-channel TV and of course drink (no orgies I'm afraid...er...well, none that I'm invited to)!
