Two of my sons and all my grandchildren are moving to the Antipodes and I will either follow permanantley (as an elderly relative ;-) or spend 6 months here and six months over there. Both of them (and their wives) feel that the future UK way of life will not be a particularly pleasant experience for their children!

I think the UK is seen as more welcoming than either Germany or France (and indeed most other places in Europe) where they tend to have more pride in their natioanal identity.
