UK House Prices -The next bubble waiting to burst ??
COLSMITH - Fri, 30 Dec 05 :
PP - agree your comment. Still if it doesn't pan out that way it'll be standing room for all we do! England (mainly south) is the most conjested part of Europe apart form Belgium and may even be more crowded than them now. I guess there is a natural limit to how many people this postage stamp of a place can hold - probably based on water and sewage (very dificult now to find a clean river in the South). And then the natural tensions of always being in a crowd - traffic jams, shop queues etc becoming like the rush hour tube (sardines have a better time than that). So somewhere between standing room only and now its gonna hit the fan. Still those that want to build over all the UK don't care much about that - pity we need someone to see how England is being destroyed and be able influence a change of direction. Fat chance for every view there's an alternative - is that a defintion of chaos? So its a number game whether the numbers come from within the UK or outside. But of course no one knows the future so it may all be very different.
