Like it or not, at current price levels low interest rates are the key to affordability - you can name call all you like fella, but I haven't seen you manage to challenge my assertion that mortgage payments (as a percentage of disposable income) are broadly similar to what they were 15 years ago, when property cost one third of what it does now.
You sound like you've never owned a property in your life......
