No Little Beaker, I am living in north Essex. National figures based on averages do not make my agent wrong. In fact, if as he says people are renting their current properties and buying new ones this would indeed lead to a rise in the lending figures. So either way that article does not support your view.


I find this difficult to believe.....they're renting their current properties and buying new ones.

This just fails to make any sense at all.

Firstly, they would either need to own their own home outright, or change their original mortgage for a BTL and take out a new one.

Why would they want to get involved in BTL if by their own admission (the fact that they couldn't sell their own property), the market was struggling.

Complete nonsense.
