The gas dspute between Gazprom and Ukraine is far from over as each side makes claims and counter claims against each other. The only element that cannot be challenged is that EU countries have experienced a drop in their normal supplies via Ukraine. Which leaves one with the conclusion that either President Yuschenko is unaware of gas being siphoned off by Ukraine, or, Gazprom has not restored gas supplies to original levels. I fear that this dispute will end up with EU members' tax payers subsidising the Ukraine for the forseable future. Who will it be next?
So a third of the way to tgt depth at Mputa-1, with probably another week to reach it. How long after that before we might get a preliminary statement on the findings?
