ecomkid is obviously a fan of the Indian government. I've seen beaches cleared in a couple of minutes from an impending Tropical Storm. The country has regular monsoons and other disasters and it is an insult to their own population to assume they are too stupid to be told of impending danger.
The attitude is 'well it's Gods fault' 'what happens, happens' - this is not acceptable and heads should roll. Stuff is already coming out about who knew what & when and the excusers will hopefully be proven wrong pretty soon.
Their are nearly always Tsunami's when Earthquakes occur of that magnitude - go look for yourself on this site
