There are a lot of venture funds awash with cash currently. I know we have discussed the likelihood last year but I still think any potential cash cow is in the frame - it would be in mine if I were a suit. That a bid might trigger a white knight reaction from Honeywell who may possibly have been prevented from buying previously, for contractual reasons, has to be considered.
All pure conjecture but for something like the Carlyle Group this would be a morsel - admittedly unusual for them in being more of a "venture capital" play at this stage. However with the right contacts one might have sufficient information to talk of it as purchase of a revenue stream which would fit them better.
