While I'm between scheduled feeding troughs, I had a browse through the archives and just picked out a few highlight dates in TRT's history and the odd comment at the time that people might like to munch over with their dessert.

Bye the bye, as I shall not resume any real interest in this for at least another 6 months, why not (someone) start a new thread? Something along the lines of 'Transense, the long march back'? That way my name will disappear and 'Rayrac' will stop feeling so threatened. TRT still has potential, but revenues are too far away. Patience is the name of this game.

How Much Lower can this Go?
Still Not Tempted to buy Though

*************************************************
TRT's SP record bottom low of 14.5p mid was on 26 Feb, 03, but it then rose 80% to 26p on the 27th & 28th on what appeared was delayed reaction to a trading statement a week earlier, where the initial negative impression switched to positive.

I didn't say, nor does KatyLied claim to knowing more than others. My comment was in recognition of his effort made in presenting TRT's pro's & con's in the original thread and leaving it for others to form their own opinion. This provided food for thought and references to pursue, which is to be encouraged, not criticised, otherwise everyone just argues from a rigid viewpoint and little that's constructive comes from that.

As to shorting, if you look at the daily volumes and nature of trades over the past few months, there's no real evidence of shorting, which doesn't imply that a trader here or there hasn't tried their luck. The steady downward trend is the normal by-product of a Bear market with its lack of buying interest and occasional sales from disillusioned holders. Even the price collapse last week in reaction to the news of slippage in cash-flow neutrality was a price mark-down and not a response to selling, which only amounted to a few thousand quid before the price change.

*************************************************
TRT's SP remained in a narrow trading range until jumping 42% (from 32p to 45.5p) on 15th (Fri) and 18th (Mon) Aug 03, rising exactly 100% in 14 trading days to 2nd Spt, but dashed expectations from the 3 Spt Interims caused a sell-off. The pre-Interim peak remained the approx high for over a year until late 2004 when the SP jumped to a new trading range of 80p - 90p that lasted throughout 2005, except for 2 tipster induced spikes and the subsequent unwinding toward the year end in the absence of a majority expected RNS.

It's only a guess, but the 50k trade last night may be part of short covering, which would be the 3rd failed attempt at shorting in recent weeks. If so, this would be an inducement for the MM's to raise the price and buyers to move in today in the belief that the support level is firm.

hood - something is brewing here for sure. No way will it have risen this much on such a small volume of trades, this is being walked up.
