Torotrak plc ("the Company" or "Torotrak"), the world leader in full-toroidal
traction-drive transmission technology, announces the appointment of Jeremy
Deering as Finance Director with immediate effect.

Dick Elsy, Chief Executive of Torotrak, commented: "We are delighted that Jeremy
has agreed to take up the role of Finance Director. Jeremy has been working with
us as part of the new team since early 2006 as interim Finance Director. He has
already made a significant contribution to the Company as we have transitioned
to a multi-product, multi-market business strategy. Jeremy's experience and
professionalism will continue to be invaluable to Torotrak as we rapidly
approach the milestone of volume production of our technology."

Jeremy Robert John Deering (age: 46) has a strong financial and commercial
background with FTSE 100 companies, start-ups and flotations. After qualifying
as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen, Jeremy held senior finance
positions in Tomkins PLC and then the United Utilities group, where he became
Group Financial Controller and subsequently Finance Director of Norweb PLC and
then Acting Managing Director/ Finance Director of Your Communications. From
2003, Jeremy has worked with a number of start-ups & growth companies on a
project/ consultancy basis, most recently as Interim Finance Director of System
C Healthcare PLC through its successful AIM flotation in 2005. Jeremy joined
Torotrak as Interim Finance Director in March 2006. Jeremy is currently a
director of Core Ventures Limited and his previous directorships within the last
five years are listed below.

No further details regarding Jeremy Deering are required to be disclosed to
comply with Rule 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
