Quite right. My research comes up with about 18 car manufacturers that have gone 'in house' meaning they supply and fit satnavs themselves. This seems to be the trend and of course none of theses satnavs have subscription fees.

I also understand that the £2m profits forecast for this year are to be used for marketing purposes and with satnavs coming down to a reasonable price i.e. sub £300 with sub £200 beckoning I do not see Trafficmaster as a long term investment. The profits warning has muted day trading and the whole thing looks down hill from here on in. In fact the situation for the company in my opinion is dire and the competition gaining momentum.
