I am no longer suprised at the naivety of investing syndicates. They unnecessarily loose money usually because a powerful all knowing member convinces others where the tops and bottoms are but syndicates usually lack technical expertise as well as retail experience.

In the case of Trafficmaster retail sales are low. The poor take up is because of the vast and fierce competition. Halfords reported sales of satnavs accounted for a boost in their profits but they do not sell Trafficmasters Smartnav. It doesn't take a genius to work out theses are customers that have gone else where and will not be purchasing Smartnav but syndicates with no retail expertise will foresee a bottom based without this knowledge and is therefore some way behind the market view and therefore reality of Trafficmaster retail market position.

Is it any wonder syndicates hold on to loosing shares from vast profits to great losses. Individual share dealing by passes having to convince others of a changed situation where the top or bottom will be different from before.

I used to belong to syndicates but there is always the all knowing one who invariably looses others money. Good luck with your syndicate but you are better off making decisions where your own money is concerned for yourself.
